Muse Cafe and Bookshop, Canberra

The story.

Rork Projects were contracted to provide Construction Management services for the high-end café and retail fitout of the Muse Café and Bookshop, located in the East Hotel, Kingston. A highlight of the scope of works includes the extensive joinery package, especially notable in the bookshop. Other works included partitions, painting, flooring (including hospitality-specific non slip flooring) tiling and tactiles (extensive waterproofing), mirrors, electrical works (pendant lighting) and full hydraulics. Particular consideration was given to the installation of the full industrial kitchen, as space was limited and complete usability the priority.
