Rork Projects Take Up the Challenge
On Saturday 28th February, the team from Rork Projects participated in the Proximity Government and Business Triathlon. Rork Projects entered two teams: Rork's Young Guns (Project Manager Nick Mihalic and Office Administrator Maggie Welfare) and Rorkie's Golden Oldies (Managing Director Brian O'Rourke, and Site Managers Greg Morrison and Jim Hudson). The event presented a mental and physical challenge to each of our team members, but they all had a ball.

Our Young Guns certainly rose to the challenge, completing the long distance (500m swim, 20km ride and 5km run) with great gusto. Our ring-in was first out of the water, Maggie pushing hard on the bike against a tough field, and Nick smashing the run to bring us home in 3rd place in a field of 23 mixed teams.
The Golden Oldies couldn’t be matched for enthusiasm, completing the short course (200m swim, 10km ride and 2km run) with smiles all round. Greg looked strong in the water, Jim sticking it out on the bike and Brian bringing it home in style in the run.
Our support crew were fantastic, providing excellent photography and cheering us along the way. All in all, it was a great day and fantastically organised by Triathlon ACT. Looking forward to next year’s event!
