UC Data Centre

The story.

Rork Projects were engaged by The University of Canberra (UC) to provide an upgrade of Data Centre 1 (DC1) to provide a "clean room" as well as a safe and efficient place for work. The upgrade to DC1 would result in the completion of all the upgrade works providing UC with increased capacity for new services, improved disaster recovery capability and the duplication of services in the event of a disaster.

All of the work were required to be undertaken within a "live" data room and as such construction activities needed to be staged, sequenced and hoarded to ensure the minimisation of any potential for dust contamination and any loss of conditions within the room.
